College level friendship essay

As was noted in earlier essays, there are different subject matters for essays. Students at the college level of studies may be asked to write an essay about their friends. Such essays are called college level friendship essays. Human beings are social animals by nature.

It is ordinary therefore to have friends. People have friends for different reasons but one reason that would be common in every person is interaction. Some people would have friends for academic or material assistance, or for exploration of different cultures if the friendship is cross cultural; the reasons are diverse.

Friendship essays could require the writer to describe his or her friend. In such an essay, the writer must know the adjectives to use in describing the friends physical and psychosocial attributes. These attributes will justify the love or hate of the writer towards the friend. The reader of such a friendship essay would want to know how tall, short, fat, thin, dark, brown, intelligent, foolish, humble, arrogant, submissive, proud etc, the friend is.

As a writer of such an essay, it is important to give such descriptions to the reader. Sometimes, friendship essays would require the writer to give an account of they spent their holiday, went to cinema or visited one another’s families. On such accounts, the essay is specific.

However, the essay could also be general, just requiring the writer to talk about the friendship. In such a case, the writer would give a diverse inclusion of facts and opinion in the essay because it is not specific. However, the writer must also remember that friendship essays must not necessarily be positive about the friend. The writer is allowed to show why he likes or hates the friend.
