Lab 11: standardized a basic termination

Solutions are homogenous mixtures consisting of one or more solutes dissolved in a solvent. In give to describe a answer, we need to know its composition and its corporeal state. From the composition of the declaration, we find out the chemical identity of the solute or solutes and the solvent, as well as their concentrations. Molarity is one of the most common ways to express the concentration of a settlement is called standardization of a solution. Therefore, a standard solution is a solution with a known concentration.
Titration is a method use to standardize solutions. In this method, we use a standard solution whose concentration is known to determine the concentration of another solution whose concentration is unknown. Titration is carried out by the addition of a solution from a buret to another solution in a flask until all the substance in the flask has only reacted. The solution added from the buret is called the titrant.
In order to determine when the neutralisation reaction reaction is complete, you will add an acid-foundation indicator. This is a compound whose emblazon changes when the pH of a solution changes upon additions of an acid or a topic.

The indicator had been used is called phenolphthalein whose color is clear if the solution is acid-forming and turns pink when the solution becomes basic. The color changes when it reached an equivalence point, which happens when the number of moles of the base equals the number of moles of the acid.
This experiment has three steps:
1. Titration.
2. Standardizing an NaOH solution.
3. Acid base titration.
