The Great fight was a big tragedy, but it occurred thanks to the imperialistic ambitions of europiums major powers. Another cause of the war was because it was as thoroughly hard not to have one with the European powers making alliances, and influenceting up their war tanks against each other. Only a spark was needed to set off the fire. That spark came with the assassination of the Archduke of Austria-Hungary. Although The Treaty of Versailles ended the war, it satisfied none of the concerning nations and led to the devastation of the Monarchies in Germany and Austria. The war itself ended the centuries old Romanov Dynasty of Russia, and the treaty set up ground for another war to come. For Germany the Treaty meant permit go of their territory and paying back all the cost of the war. The French who believed that Germany was the cause of the war and were part of the winning side, demanded a harsh punishment for the losers. The French then used the money given to them by Germany to pay their own war debt, as well as all the damage and loss (of come to and people) that had occurred during the war.
