Climate change has affected food and water resources which are critical resources for livelihoods of many people in Africa, thus posing devastating implications on developments and are expect to worsen the livelihoods of local communities that heavily rely on food, water and other natural resources. These local communities are usually deplorable and they are unlikely to be able to respond to the institutionalise and indirect effects of climate change because of limited financial, human race and institutional capacity.



At the same time, they already face a range of rural development challenges, such as change magnitude population densities, little income earning opportunities, health problems natural resource degradation, switch food demands and food insecurity especially in the drought-prone semi-arid areas.
