SInce 2004, petroleum prices have more than tripled. The increasingly scarce send away source sewer no longer be the touch on means to power our world. Instead of governments and large corporations investing in studies to find a greener fuel source, they are allowing portions of our factory farm to be turned into biofuels such as lemon-based ethanol.
In 2006, 20% of the corn grown in the United States was employ to create ethanol, only if it only amounted to 3.5% of the overall fuel supply. Ethanol is portrayed as an environment-friendly solution because theoretically, the carbon dioxide produced when the corn is burned for fuel would be absorbed by the growing corn plants. This would thus eliminated the flagellum to the environment. Although it sounds plausible and hopeful, it is incorrect and very misleading. Nitrogen is in fertilizers used to grow corn and when the nitrogen is burned, it creates Nitrous oxide. Nitrous oxide is ccc times more potent than carbon dioxide. How is that more environmentally friendly?
We are exhausting our current resources, so we are choosing to invest in a product that is nearly equally as harmful to our environment. On top of that, it cuts into the worlds food supply. How can that possibly lead us to believe that were making a positive difference? We cant just talk the talk. We have to offer the walk.
Using our countrys crops to create fuel is non the solution to our oil crisis. Our government has to understand that we need a greener fuel source, not another fuel that harms the environment. It is not worth cutting into our agriculture to power cars. We must find something more sustainable. If you want to occur a full essay, order it on our website: Ordercustompaper.com
