Class Description:
General instruction bank line open to all; contrive principles from the laymans point of view. Critical evaluation of selected lends of painting, sculpture, architecture, and industrial design related to everyday life.

Course Goals:
The student will:
* modernize a frame of reference by which to appreciate the optic Arts.
* Identify and define the elements and principles of design.
* Identify/define the various visual nontextual matters techniques/materials and selected art terms. Learn to evaluate works of art through critical analysis and/or comparative/ cable analysis.
* Get acquainted with local museums and galleries.
* Identify and recognize selected styles/periods in art history.
* Identify and recognize selected artists in art history.
